Acacia, according to the “Book of
Exodus” was used in the construction of
the “Ark of the Covenant”. Acacia trees
or Rain trees grow abundantly all over
the Philippine Islands. They are huge
that grow from both sides of the roads to
give shadow to large areas of highways
on Philippine roads. Due to frequent
typhoons hitting the country, lots of
these trees fall. Instead of burning them
to use as firewood, the natives sell them
to craftsmen to make different kinds of
home accents and furniture. Reena
Nepomuceno-Lucas designs and makes
them into haute couture purses. She
does her designing in her home-office in
Maryland, USA. Born and raised in the
Philippines, she saw how her designs
can be put to reality by the local artisans
in a small town in her native country.
The factory boasts of the best carvers
and artists in the region. These skilled
artisans’ work is what make our hand-
bags unique and priceless. Each

which takes up to 6 weeks to finish. Tixxi

Some of the designs come embellished

pearls and gemstones. These hand-
bags are highly lacquered to seal the
natural grain of the wood and produce
that sheen and beauty of art. Inside is

care come with each purchase.
